Employee's Mobile Application
Downloading the Mepco App
Find the Mepco App free of charge from the Google Play -store and App Store with the name "Mepco".
The operating system requirement for the app is Android 5.0 (or newer) or iOS 11 (or newer).
Region settings
Downloading the Mepco App may require that your mobile device's region is set to Finland.
You can update the region settings on your iPhone following this path: Settings > General > Language & Region > Region.
Note that while downloading the App you should allow receiving push notifications if you want to receive push notifications of published or reserveable shifts in the Mepco App.
Logging in
Username and password
To log in to the Mepco App you need a username. You'll receive the log in information from your employer to your email.
The email includes a link for creating your own password. After creating a password you'll be able to log in to the Mepco App.
Note that the link is only valid for one week.
Log in
Make sure that you have downloaded the Mepco App and preferably updated the App to the latest version.
Log in to the Mepco App:
Open the Mepco App
Fill in the following information
Domain
Usually your employer's name. Check the spelling from your employer.
Username
The username you received in the email.
Password
The password you set via the link.
Login
Events
Past events
Past events are actualized work shifts and other events. You can view the list of your past events from the "Past Events" link. You can open the shift information by clicking on the event card. If needed, you may also edit or approve past shifts.
Editing a shift
You may edit the information of a past shift (or other event) if needed:
Go to the Events view and click on the "Past events" link in the upper right corner of the Events view.
Open the shift information by clicking the event
Click "Edit"
Edit the shift information and click "Save"
Approving a shift
After completing the edits you may approve the shift. This is your own confirmation for your employer that you have completed the shift with the information provided.
Go to the Events view and click on the "Past events" link
Open the shift information by clicking the event
Click "Approve"
Upcoming events
Under the upcoming events title you will see all your upcoming shifts (and other events).
By clicking on the event you can open the detailed event information.
Reserve events
In the Reserve Events view you may reserve and request work shifts. All shifts that you may reserve or request are listed in this view. You can open detailed shift information by clicking a shift.
Shift types
In the Reserve events view there can be shifts with 3 different labels: Reserve, Pending for response, and Requestable.
You can reserve shifts that are labeled as Reserve or Pending for response. You can't reserve shifts that are labeled as Requestable, but you can send a request if you wish to take that shift. Your employee can then confirm your request.
Reserve
You can reserve the shift for yourself.
Open the shift information by clicking the event
Click "Reserve"
You have reserved the shift and it will be shown on the Events view under the Upcoming events title.
Pending for response
This shift is offered especially for you and your employee is waiting for your response. You can reserve the shift for yourself if you want it.
Open the shift information by clicking the event
Accept or decline the shift
Accept = The shift will be reserved for you.
Decline = You won't accept the shift. Your employee can view your response.
Requestable
You can request a shift that is labeled as Requestable. If your request is accepted you will receive a confirmation.
Open the shift information by clicking the event
Click "Request"
Your request has been sent and you can view it via the OWN REQUESTS link that you can find in the upper right corner of the Reserve events view.
Notifications
You can view all your received push notifications in the Notifications view.
The notifications are divided into three categories:
Important
Important notifications require actions from the receiver
For example employees' contracts are categorized as Important. Contracts can also be signed here.
Important notifications won't be categorized as Seen before they have been signed
New
New notifications include notifications regarding published or reserveable shifts
Note that when you open the notifications view the displayed notifications will be moved under the Seen category next time you visit the Notifications view
Seen
The notifications you have already seen are listed under the Seen category
Adding a work preference
Adding a work preference (toive & esto)
Move to the Add view
Choose "Other event type" and choose either Esto or Toive
Esto (="block")
Use Esto when you wish not to work at the time in question
Toive (="wish")
Use Toive when you wish to work at the time in question
Fill in the date and time for your work preferences
Click on "Save"
Note! Work preferences may not be in use if you cannot see them in the mobile app. If needed, ask for additional information from your employer.
Time tracking
There are two ways for time tracking shifts (clocking in and out) in Mepco. The one in use is defined during the onboarding project.
1. Clocking in and out on planned shifts
When this way of time tracking is in use, the employees may clock in and out on shifts that have been planned for them.
Starting and ending a shift
Open the Mepco mobile App
Open the Events view and under the Upcoming events title choose the shift that you want to start (= clock in)
Click on "Start"
When you finish the shift click on "Finish" (= clock out)
The shift information will be updated based on the times of clocking in and out.
2. Clocking in and out without planned shifts
When this way of time tracking is in use, the employees may clock in and out without a planned shift for the time in question.
Starting and ending a shift
Open the Mepco mobile App
Open the Events view and click on "Start"
When you finish the shift click on "Finish"
If needed edit the shift information
Approve the shift
The shift information will be added to Mepco based on the times of clocking in and out.
Files
In the Files view you may view your contracts and other files that have been added for you.
Contracts
Contracts may be signed by clicking on "Sign" or opened for viewing details.
Profile
In the Profile view you can find information regarding your profile, settings, the Privacy policy and the Terms and Conditions. You may also change your password or language and logout from the Mepco App.
Change password
Move to the Profile view
If not found in the bottom navigation it can be found behind the More icon
Click on the Change password link
Type in your old password and then the new password
Click on "Change password"
Language settings
At the moment you can use the App in either Finnish or English.
Move to the Profile view
Click on "Language"
Choose the desired language
Add another tenant
If the employee has several employers who are using Mepco the employee may be logged in to all of the Mepco tenants at the same time. All the tenants, that the employee wants to be logged into, should be added separately.
Add another tenant by following these steps:
Move to the Profile view and click on Add another tenant
Log in to the tenant by adding the domain, username and password and click on "Add another tenant"
After adding the tenants you may change the tenant by clicking on the domain name
Choose the domain
